Hello, Gorgeous??? Or Something.

This week, we took Sydney on a little adventure to buy makeup for the first time. Since she does hula shows and competitions, she needs makeup to stand out under the bright stage lights. We went to BareMinerals where one of the girls color-matched Sydney. The shade looked perfect at the store for her skin. It was perfect...until we got home. When Sydney practiced putting on the foundation herself, she literally looked like a ghost because the color was SO LIGHT. It was way too white and she looked like a geisha. Or a ghost. One of those haha. If she wore that shade of foundation on stage, the lights would literally make her look even whiter than the makeup did. 

Hello, gorgeous? No. Hello, geisha? Yes. 

Sydney was not amused, so we had to go back the next day. We got her color-matched again, and this time the shade was juuust right. Even when we went home and had Sydney try putting on the foundation herself, it was still perfect.
