Dream Diary #37 | Dolphins Up Close And Personal

It was my birthday in my dream.

And we were at a crowded beach, swimming in the ocean with a ton of people. The water was gorgeous and super clear, so I'm thinking we were somewhere tropical. It was weird though because these rocks were kinda blocking the way back to the beach. So once you were out in the water, it was really hard to get back to the sand. And in real life, I'm not the strongest swimmer, so it was kinda cool to be able to swim out so far in my dream.

I remember there were dolphins somewhere in my dream last night and they were huge! They all swam together and were really close to us. It was a little bit scary actually seeing them super up close. But I'm sure they were very nice dolphins and they didn't hurt us--so that was a plus.

Then the dream switched to a huge house. I remember I was texting Brian about something and Kaia was there too. I guess I forgot all my stuff to get ready though, so needed to go and borrow stuff from everybody. I think I had to get ready for a birthday party (for myself?) but I really can't remember anymore.

Happy days. And happy lunar new year!

Dream Diary #36 | House of Cats and the Bunny Rabbit from Hell

For some reason, every time I dream of animals, they scare me sooo much.
Like they're not just regular animals you see in everyday life, but more like...demonic monsters.

So last night I dreamt of cats. Furry crazy ass cats. Not just one cat, but many many cats.
And I HATE HATE HATE cats in real life and am super allergic to them. So it was so bizarre that I dreamt about hanging around with those demon creatures at someone's house. I forgot whose house it was, but I do remember that they abandoned me there to help them take care of their cats. Everywhere I turned, there was a cat. And they just wouldn't leave me alone!!! And oddly enough, the cats could kinda talk and understand me? I even told one cat to close the door for me when I was trying to run away and it did. JEEPERS.

And of course, once I escaped the House of Cats, I ran into another demonic animal, but this time it was a bunny rabbit. As I was trying to ask people for directions to get back home,  I see this creature out of the corner of my eye. And it honestly looked like a gray wrinkly baby elephant. And I thought, "Oh that's kinda cute...but why is there an elephant here?" Turns out that it definitely wasn't an elephant. One of the people I was talking to started explaining to me that it was actually a rabbit--a really huge and terrifying bunny rabbit. A bunny rabbit the size of a horse. A bunny rabbit that started sprinting right at me and getting all up in my face.
NO THANK YOU!!!!!!!

I definitely woke up with massive anxiety after that dream.

Dream Diary #35 | We're All Just Little Egg Farmers

I had another dream involving all of my roommates and hallmates. Even though I've only been at home and away from them for a couple days so far (yay winter break!), it's already been so weird and quiet without them. So it's only fitting that I had a dream about all of us together.

It was honestly one of the weirder dreams that I've had lately. And that's probably because I actually remembered this dream. I haven't been remembering my dreams all that much lately either--my sleep patterns are so whacked out so that's probably why.

Anyways, the dream. So it started off normal, we were all just hanging out at school in the apartments where we live. But then, it turns out that we actually weren't at school but on an egg farm.
Yeah, we were all living together on an egg farm.
Egg. Farm.
I can't even begin to comprehend why we were on an egg farm. Or even why were living there. Like maybe we all became egg farmers together or something. But we were selling eggs and living there, and for some reason I didn't even see where the chickens were. Oh well.

Dream Diary #34 | Turkeys, Sparkles, & Off-Roading

It's been a while since I've been able to remember my dreams. But last night, I finally was able to!

So it started off like this. I was at the grocery store and was grocery shopping with my parents (Thanksgiving on my mind!) We were definitely shopping for a turkey and all that other good Thanksgiving food. Then for some reason, some random old man came over and sat on our cart, and he was like expecting my dad to push him around the store like that. We had no idea who this man was or anything so of course we were like...uhh no. And then it took forever to get the man off of our cart. I don't even know.

Then the dream jumped to the mall. We were at this giant mall and we see this lady who was dressed in all gold and sparkles. Katarina said that was the lady she always sees while shopping, and that the lady didn't care about how much she spent or what she bought. Kaia was also there and she even thought the lady was wearing too many sparkles (and Kaia loves sparkles). We didn't find anything to buy, but the lady bought like a million things. And then we walked over to Starbucks because they were having a BOGO deal. But when we get there, they tell us that they ran out of Grande sized in everything. RIDICULOUS. So I ended up getting Tall decaf coffee with 2 pumps of hazelnut syrup. I have no idea why I even got coffee in my dream. But that actually does sound delicious. But not in a Tall size, in a Grande.

Andddd, the dream jumped again. This was probably the most random part of my dream. I was driving along some freeway by myself and then took the wrong turn. I ended up going down this dirt road and there were all these other cars with me but they were off-roading vehicles. And I was kinda confused at first, but it turned out that we were on this dirt/mud road with random water slides, going off-roading in the mud?! Like mudding. But my car definitely was not equipped to do that. So we go all the way down the entire thing, and we were all expecting to be able to turn around to go home. But the road at the end was blocked off and we couldn't do that. So we all got out of our cars and were floating around in this muddy lake, trying to figure out how to get home. HAHAHA. I have no idea why I dreamt that but it kinda really does sound like fun.

Dream Diary #33 | The League and Onion Penholders

Last night, I dreamt my roommates and our neighbors were all going on an excursion together. We drove to this house in the mountains, and the house belonged to the parents of Taco and Kevin MacArthur from The League. I've been trying to catch up on The League for a while now, so maybe I've been watching it just a little too much lately. The house was really cute and had all these weird homemade decorations from Taco inside. Like there was this awesome penholder in the kitchen shaped like an onion. The pens were all green and shaped like the onion stems, and the pen holder part looked like a little onion bulb hahaha. They also had the most amazing dog there. It was huge and fluffy and had paws like those giant teddy bears from Costco, and could even play patty cake. AWESOME.

Then we had to leave to go somewhere and Megan offered to drive. But she had to get gas, and could only get gas at Chevron for some reason. We kept trying to map out where the closest Chevron was, but the one that was closest to us turned out to be a house, and the other one was really far away. I'm not sure if we ever found a Chevron because I woke up. Haha.

Dream Diary #32 | SpiderDude NOT Spiderman

I had another Youtube dream. So I arrive at this ice skating rink (which I've dreamt about before) and walk down the stairs to get to the ice. As I'm walking, I see some of Sydney's favorite Youtubers--Kian, Sam, and JC. And I was like, I haveeee to take a picture for Sydney. So I go down and take a picture with them.

BUT THEN I see Tyler Oakley with fabulous looking light blue/purple hair. It was soooo pretty seriously. Like if I could, I would dye my hair like that. And for some reason, I jump into his arms and he carries me back up the stairs. But really, I don't think Tyler Oakley is that strong in real life, so... yeah. That would clearly never happen.

Then I really had to use the bathroom and went to use the bathroom at this house. It looked like Grandma's house and was pretty much the same, but Jack and Finn Harries owned it. LOL RANDOM. But they let me use the bathroom before the dream jumped one last time to.....ANSEL ELGORT.

I was going to dinner with some friends, and one of them happened to be Ansel. We had a hard time finding a table at the little restaurant to fit the 4 of us. Like for some reason, all the tables there were really really tiny and could barely even fit 2 people. But we finally found a table, but we started arguing about what movie we wanted to watch. The choices were either SpiderDude (NOT Spiderman, SpiderDude) and this other movie about zombies or something. But yeah I don't even know what SpiderDude is because the movie box looked exactly like Spiderman. Unfortunately, I woke up before we could watch SpiderDude so I'll never know what it was about.

Dream Diary #31 | Kurtis's New House

I've been sleeping more these past couple of days--like more than I would normally sleep. I hope it's just because I'm tired and not because I'm getting sick or anything.

Anyways, the dream. I was a babysitter/nanny for some little girl. I don't remember her name or what she looked like, but I know I was taking care of her haha. I had to bring her with me everywhere, including school. Then we were doing this project at school (but it seemed like high school?) where we all had to bring in pictures to compile into a class book. I got a lotttt of pictures from Aunt Cherie, of pretty much everyone in my family and all of the kids growing up, so my pictures basically took up 90% of the book. Whoops. But the teacher loved it and she gave me some prize or something, so I left class early to get get lunch. And it literally was like a high school where everyone was sitting outside eating food and hanging out. I was walking down this ramp to go and eat, but I stopped. I don't know why I stopped but I stopped and was just sitting there. A girl from my class came by and we were talking, but she was late to go to work.

Then the dream jumped to Kurtis's house, except it was really Brian's house in real life. For some reason, Kurtis owned it in the dream. WEIRD. But I guess Kurtis remodeled the house so that the front door was actually around the back. It was really confusing. But once I walked inside, our whole family was there having a party. Maybe it was Kurtis's housewarming party? Who knows. But he probably finally did get the master room there. Sorry Brian, I think you got kicked out.

Dream Diary #30 | Mint 'n Chip & Cheep

Last night's dream was really cute. It took place in a mall. Like the same mall I've dreamt about before, like this time possibly, but in that dream we didn't actually get into the mall. I know I've seen last night's dream mall before in another dream, I just can't remember if I wrote about it or not.

Anyways, the mall was really cool because the people shopping there were all the people from the TV show Doug. Remember Doug Funny, anyone?? I used to love that show haha. But all the characters were there, plus other random people that just looked like those characters (except not in cartoon form of course).

And then, Kaia and I really really wanted ice cream, so we found this little ice cream shop. I ordered something, and then Kaia said she wanted
"mint 'n chip and cheep!"
LOL it was the cutest thing, because I guess she could kinda read the sign but not really.

So we got our mint 'n chip and cheep ice cream and it was delicious.

Dream Diary #29 | Prison And A Feast

So last night in my dream, I was a prisoner or something.
I got captured and I was being imprisoned in this dirt village type of prison. It was odd, like all the cells were made of mud and sticks. The prison made its money through an import/export business, and I guess all of the imports were vegetables. Then Boston got angry at the prison for not acknowledging them as one of their importers (I think they imported lettuce or something). The prison only acknowledged Denmark as their sole importer. Weird.

And even though the prison was getting so many vegetables, I was still starved for 20 days there. Well, I guess prisoners don't really get to eat that much. But they only let me eat rotting fish and weird things like that, so I didn't eat any of it. So there I was 20 days later, when they suddenly released me...and threw me a goodbye party??? They made me a HUGE FEAST with all sorts of different food, but I was crying so hard that I couldn't even eat. Either I was crying because I was so happy I was being released or crying because I couldn't eat because my stomach couldn't handle it. I'm not really sure which one it was. Maybe a bit of both.
But I was so happy to see fresh fish, tons of fresh vegetables, fruits, breads...I don't think I had ever felt so happy seeing food in my life (even though this was just in a dream).

Dream Diary #28 | Concerts & Ramen Noodles

So the past few days, I've had trouble remembering what I dreamt about. I know I had dreams, but I would just forget what they were about the moment I woke up.

I guess to make up for that, my brain gave me the biggest and most random dream ever. The dream was actually pretty cool and flashed between different parts back and forth. I was at this concert thing where Sara Bareilles, Maroon 5, and J.Lo (J.Lo??) were performing, plus a bunch of other people. It was awesome because the venue was really intimate like a House of Blues, and I had a great seat up close. Yes, I didn't even have to stand, woohooo!

But like, in between each performer, I had to run next door where it was a kitchen area and cook. I was a part of this cooking class (maybe it'll be like the class I'm taking this quarter!) and we were all being tested Iron Chef/Chopped-style. Luckily it was all in pairs or else I would have been petrified. For one of the courses, I had to work with scallops and baby octopus. I think my partner had to do something with meat. Anyways, we wanted to bread and fry the seafood as an appetizer. For some reason, I thought it would be a good idea to use ramen noodles as bread crumbs. This would have been pretty cool EXCEPT I was really dumb and cooked the noodles on accident instead.
So they were definitely not crunchy anymore and would definitely not work as bread crumbs. I don't think that course went over well. And then someone showed up with an envelop for me, with a bill to pay inside. Okay, thanks??

Luckily, the dream jumped back to the concert and watching all the performances. Sydney somehow showed up and was sitting next to me. Probably because she was talking to me yesterday about the iHeartRadio festival. Sorry Sydney, but 13 year olds probably shouldn't go to those things. Anyways, when Sydney sat down next to me, these random girls came up and got mad because Syd was apparently in "their spot." But Syd wouldn't move so the girls had to go sit somewhere else. And then I woke up.

Dream Diary #27 | TV Sitcom

The dream I had last night was weird. It was a third person dream, and it played out like a sitcom. Really cool, but also weird.

So there was a guy and a girl and they both were looking for each other. It was funny because they both kept running to different places, and each new location was a new set where someone had to label what it was. So when they ran to a new place, there would be a pause so the camera could zoom in on the name of the set. They were literally running in circles because the sets were all positioned as a big circle with the camera in the middle of it. Kind of like in That 70's Show when they all sit in the circle in the basement and the camera swings from face to face. Just like that. I think the guy and the girl did end up finding each other though, so that's good.

I know at some point I was in the dream as myself, but I really don't remember when it was anymore because some sprinklers went off outside and woke me up. Also, around 5 am this morning, my phone fell off my bed and made a really loud noise (I hope it didn't wake anyone else up). But I had to basically crawl around under my bed to find it. I was too lazy to turn on the light haha.

Dream Diary #26 | Dream-ception

I dreamt that I was sleeping in my dream. And that I was dreaming while I was sleeping. So basically, it was like a dream within a dream? Dream-ception!
I don't really remember what I dreamt while I was sleeping in the dream. I know that I thought it was already Tuesday in my dream so I had to do all my last minute packing preparations (OMG, moving tomorrow!) Also, I do remember that I woke up in my dream just a little bit before I woke up in real life. And that was really confusing because it gave me déjà vu.

Then I woke up for real and made a smoothie.

Dream Diary #25 | The BBQ Before The BBQ

So I had a dream last night about the BBQ we're going to be having later on today LOL. I dreamt the BBQ before it even happened?? Yeah.

So pretty much everything was kinda how I imagined the BBQ this afternoon will be like. The dream BBQ took place at Grandma's house and there was a TON of food. Like literally, there was soo much food we ran out of platters and pans to put the food in, so we started piling things straight up on the table. There were also way too many cars there, so we were out of parking spaces. People had to park their cars on the grass behind Grandma's house. Like literally drive around the house to park.

And then I guess Brian and I forgot to buy the cake, so Michael's uncle ran out to go and pick one up. I don't even know if he came back with a cake though.

And that was it. Now I'm excited for the BBQ today!

Dream Diary #24 | Shooting Foxes

I dreamt something about football first last night. Something about ESPN saying these two players were really really good. I literally don't remember who they were talking about, but I do remember that I was impressed by them.

Then, the dream jumped to me being at Dylan and Kaia's elementary school. All the kids were participating in this walk/run thing that looped around the canyons surrounding the school. Are there even canyons right by their school? I have no idea. But I was helping out and was in charge of maybe about 5 or 6 kids. Our group was kinda slow because the kids were younger and couldn't walk fast. While we were walking along, these packs of rabid foxes came out of nowhere and was chasing us, trying to eat us and stuff. It was really scary and there wasn't any other group near us to help. Out of nowhere, I pulled out a shotgun and started to shoot the foxes. A bunch of them died (thank you Call of Duty!) and we hurried along. But then as we caught up to more groups, more foxes came and everyone was freaking out. We hurried all the kids along into the school while I shot more foxes. Then we got back to the school as if nothing happened.

Dream Diary #23 | What's A Cucumberceree??

Once again, my dream took place at Brian's lovely house. We were all leaving--me, Kurtis, Sydney. Kurtis got into his car and showed us the inside of his car door. There was a really large word printed on the inside of the door. The word was "cucumberceree" or something like that. A total nonsense word now that I've woken up, but in my dream it was supposed to mean squash in French. Yeah...not even close.

So after that, Kurtis left, and for some reason my car wasn't there, but my mom's car was so I figured I had to drive my mom's car home. Sydney's mom and I both started backing out of the driveway at the same time and somehow scraped each other's cars. And then when I got home, I remember I was really sad because I told my mom that all my friends who don't live in San Diego anymore never made any efforts to hangout with me whenever they came back into town. Except for Eddie and Owen. And then I woke up and my right hand was completely numb from resting on top of the covers for a long while.

Dream Diary #22 | A Little Trip To San Francisco

The dream started off with us at Grandma's house. We were there eating dinner--just me, Kaia, Uncle Yvan, Kevin, and Brian eating. Grandma cooked 4 fish and Uncle Yvan was happy about that. I made Kaia a bowl and was cutting up all the veggies for her with scissors. My mom was also there, but she wasn't eating. Kevin and Brian were talking about how they had to leave for a trip that night because 2 of their friends died. Apparently they had mutual friends that none of us knew about, and they passed away on the same day. That's so sad. I want to say that they were planning to go to SF.

Then suddenly I was in SF?! Apparently I drove all night there by myself, and then once I got there I stopped to get ice tea from a little store. I waited in this really long line, but when I got to the front, they said there was no ice tea. There was also no lemonade. So the cashier tried to sell me a small can of coconut juice for $10. Luckily, Kat found me there before I bought it and we decided to go eat dinner. We walked from the store to go to this fancy place called Bon Bon Cou Cou or something like that. It was a fancy steak restaurant that always had a long line. But this time we figured it would be okay because only 26 people were checked in on Yelp. The weird this is: that same store I stopped at to get tea and the restaurant have both been in my dreams before.

Anyways, the restaurant was full, so we had to wait. We walked a little further down onto the wharf/pier by the restaurant. We had to walk through these sprinklers to get there, but the view of the harbor was sooooo beautiful. Then we walked over this moving dock to get to this little island. This lady and her baby walked over it at the same time, and the weight of both of us trying to cross caused it to tip over. But luckily I caught it before it could flip.

Dream Diary #21 | Chocolate Labs and Mario Kart Roads

A bunch of us were at Grandma's house trying to get ready for someone's birthday party. So we were cooking and cleaning, and just preparing everything for the party. Someone brought their dog (I think it was Kevin's dog) and that dog was a nightmare. Sure, it was a chocolate lab puppy, and was super super cute. But it was a menace when we were trying to prepare everything! Once we finished cooking something, it would destroy it. Once we cleaned something up, it would make a mess again. It was just a never-ending cycle. Finally we all decided to just come back the next day to finish everything.

When we drove out of Grandma's house, Aunt Cherie left first, then me, then Uncle Tony's car. This is the part when it got awesome. When we drove down Grandma's hill, everything was normal at first, but then the roads turned into water. So you could drive on the roads still, but they were partly or extremely submerged in water. The water was vivid green and blue--SO PRETTY. And then the path split into 2. You could pick one side which was the shallow slower side. Or you could pick the deep side which was faster, but you had no idea how deep the water went so your car could potentially drown. The majority of the people, including me and Uncle Tony, picked the shallow end. Other, like Aunt Cherie, picked the other way. It turns out that the shallow road was under ~2 feet of water (which is still a lot!) and the deeper side went up to 6-9 feet of water. I have no idea how that worked, but it was fun. It reminded me a lot of Mario Kart haha.

Dream Diary #20 | Finally A Good Night's Rest

I got 9 hours of sleep last night. 9 whole hours. YESSS FINALLY.

After not being able to fall asleep for the few nights before, I was soo sooooo tired. I just couldn't fall asleep when I tried to, and would lay there forever without sleeping. I have no idea why, but sometimes I get bouts of insomnia and then it goes away, but then comes back again.

So I'm so happy I slept for 9 hours and had no issues falling asleep. I probably could have slept more but the sun started shining on my face. I can only sleep when it's completely dark, but I can't sleep with anything over my face either, so sleep masks are out. #issues

Anyways I really don't remember what I dreamt about last night because I was so happy I slept so much when I woke up. I remember bits and pieces of seeing some familiar places and then being at Brian's house for a little bit. Something about Brian's garage. And something about taking pictures.

Dream Diary #19 | The Athlete and The Musical. And Tie-Dyed Cars.

I had another 3rd person dream.

There was this high school girl who was really athletic and amazing at sports. She was so amazing that she even had an agent...in high school. But she didn't even like playing sports all that much anymore, and she really wanted to join the school musical. Is this sounding like High School Musical or what?? Anyways, I guess my friends and I were all part of the musical. The best part was that it was all about Disney and we were just all singing huge mash-ups of Disney songs. The athletic girl killed it and had the best time with us.

But then she had to go to college where she played more sports. And she HATED it. Her agent followed her to college and made her participate in this race/scavenger hunt thing. A photographer had to follow her and take pictures of the whole race, and the dream jumped to the part of the race where it was all about tie-dyed vehicles. She was telling the photographer how she wants to quit playing softball because she doesn't like it anymore. Instead of going to softball practice and preparing for the next game, she went to play basketball but ended up tearing her hamstring. And I think that ended her career.

Dream Diary #18 | Dogs, Chinese, and Angry People

We were in Aunt Cherie and Uncle Yvan's house, except it was a totally different house in my dream. They were making something, so we were playing with Dylan and Kaia in the other room. They owned 2 dogs, and I definitely liked one more than the other. The bigger dog was soo cute and nice to me, but the little dog was a little demon. I did NOT like the little dog. We were taking a lot of pictures and selfies. Well at least I was taking them with the kids and the big dog. Little dog was not invited.

Then Katarina and I found Uncle Yvan's Chinese book. Because he was learning Chinese??? What. And we started reading it and we actually could do it. Who knew I could remember so much Chinese still?

Then Kent and Michael came by, followed by Kurtis and our friend Jon. Kent was freaking out looking for his bag. Then he got super mad at us for "losing it" when really we didn't even know we were supposed to have it. Because you know, we weren't supposed to have it anyways. So we were like, dude why would we even have your bag, you didn't even give it to us.

And then there was Jamba Juice somewhere in there too.
