Dear Jon, You Can Never Escape Us Now.

Dear Jon,
*Cue Nicholas Sparks movie now*
Seriously, you will never ever be able to escape us now. You're a Gypsie for life. And you're our friend forever and ever and ever and ever. Even when you're all the way over in Rhode Island.

It was a pleasure for all of us to meet you, for all of us to becomes friends, and for us to invade your space all the time. Thanks for letting us creep while you were sleeping, Edward Cullen-style. But hey, even in your short time at Cal Poly, you already became ultra famous on CalPolySleeps and the the bike video. And also you got to hangout with us amazing kids--tell ya friends!!!! Don't forget to teach Rhode Island all the cool Californian things we taught you, like how to wear bro tanks and how to not wear shoes at home and how to bromance (thank your roommates) and how to go with the flow & not plan things by the minute. And we promise that we'll never forget everything you taught us, like fashion and makeup and bikes and all your advice and Italian things and dance moves by the incredible Dr. Sugaspank.

In all honesty though, it won't be the same without you and we already miss you loads.
But we'll see you soon buddy!

And remember, when you come back to California, we'll have a dairy-free apple birthday pie ready, and Mandy will be waiting for you in a box (and maybe Kyle too). And when we come to Rhode Island and take over the whole island, we hope you're ready too. And the card we made you better be framed and on top of your mantle. Oh, and we need to meet your MA. MAAAA.

Love,
Your favorite crazy kids <3

DON'T LEAVE YOUR ALARM ON

There are so many ways to wake up. SO MANY.
But the worst way to possibly wake up has got to be the way I woke up this morning.

I have no issue with waking up early when I have to, but when I wake up early because of someone else, then IT'S A PROBLEM.

So I guess the girl who lives in the room above me (or maybe even the one who lives in the room below me, but most likely it's the girl above) had to wake up at 6:30 am. And set her alarm for 6:30 am. Problem is....she snoozed it, so it went off again a few minutes later. EXCEPT SHE DIDN'T TURN IT OFF FOR LIKE 15 MINUTES. I think she left to go shower and forgot to turn the alarm completely off. AND I COULD HEAR IT FROM MY ROOM. AT 6:30 AM. WHYYYYY.

I was sooooo mad. Literally, I can always hear her phone from my room. Like whenever it goes off during the day, or she gets a phone call or text, I can ALWAYS hear it. WHY IS HER PHONE SO LOUD?!?!?! I just don't get it. And I don't like it.

The SLO Life | A Very Gypsie Halloween

First Halloween in San Luis Obispo!!

We honestly had no idea what people do in SLO during Halloween. No idea at all.
But we didn't want to do nothing, so Polina, Megan, Amanda, and I decided to go out to the pumpkin patch/corn maze the night before. It was a lot bigger than we thought, and we got impossibly lost for 2 hours. But we eventually found our way out :)

We took a bunch of cute polaroids on Halloween too when we were all dressed up in costume.
Amanda's Joker makeup was on point. Definitely scary though-I couldn't look her in the eye half the time. LOL. We also learned the very important lesson of avoid party regret. Please.

And we also went to the UCSB v. Cal Poly soccer game that weekend. WE LOST, but it was most of ours' first soccer game here, so that was fun.
The weekend was fun and we semi-figured out how to do Halloween in SLO. So I would call that a success.

SLO Times | Please Don't Fall Off Bishop Peak

After all this time in SLO, I finally hiked Bishop Peak on Friday with Megan, Elise, Hayley, and Polina. It was a little bumpy at first, during the initial incline (like it seriously felt like a straight vertical), and then there were rocks towards the top. The rocks weren't so bad, except at the very very top of the peak. My little legs were too short to get all the way up to sit on the rock, so I had help getting pulled up, and then being lowered down when we were leaving.

Also, Polina slipped and almost fell down the mountain when we were coming down from the top (and we were still basically at the very top). It was right in front of these two ladies who were already iffy about climbing up all the way, and when they saw her slip, they were like "Oh no, no way, turning back now!" Haha. So even though it wasn't funny that she fell, it was still a little funny. But that definitely did not help with my fear of falling off a mountain while hiking. So I definitely will be staying away from the edges from now on.

A VERY Belated and Classy Birthday Post

So I'm finally coming back on the blog posting wagon after dropping off it for a while. It's kinda hard to start doing something again after you don't do it for a while. But here we go.

A week ago was my birthday! And half a week ago was Sydney's birthday! Happy belated birthday to us! And happy birthday to Trisha today!

I went home for my birthday to celebrate with the family last weekend, and Sydney and I had a joint birthday dinner. It was at this fancy little French restaurant called Tapenade in La Jolla. Of course, our family pretty much took up half the restaurant because there's so many of us. We ate a bunch of fancy food, and had a bunch of yummy wine. Of course, there was a delicious looking birthday dessert (chocolate!!!) I also got the bonus of getting to see GG for like 30 minutes haha. It was fun being at home, even though it was literally for like 1.5 days. See you guys at Thanksgiving!

I got tons of amazing gifts from everybody. Definitely lots of elephant things (thank you Chelsea and my cuzzos and my amazing roomies!) and a polaroid camera (finally!) and other odds and ends and sweet things (we killed that chocolate SO FAST, Polina). THANK YOU EVERYONE!

Then the weekend after that we had some more classy celebrating (and also some not classy celebrating, but I don't have pictures of that haha). We had a little girls' night in SLO at Meze Wine Bar & Bistro. The bubbly was pink and delicious, and they had really good food too. We played some more when we got home. And I got a little carsick. Whoops. Avoid party regret please. And the next day, Maggie made us really really delicious fried eggs in tortilla baskets. YES. And then we all played again.

The End.

Our First Roommate Outing | Santa Barbara

Our apartment gets along really really really well. Like super well.
It kinda feels like we've known each other pretty much forever, but it's only been a couple weeks. Which is pretty amazing. Whoever put us together was a genius seriously. Anyways, we've gone all around SLO together already and done a bunch of random things, but today we finally went out of town together for the first time!

We all love going to ULTA. Like, even though there's a Sephora in downtown SLO, it's just not the same! We figured out the closest ULTA was in Santa Barbara and decided a week ago that we had to make a trip out there. So this morning, we got up early and made the drive out there. Of course, we got hungry on the way there, so our first stop was at a little Mexican restaurant in Goleta. The food was delicious. Seriously, not as good as San Diego, but still pretty darn good. I honestly had nothing to worry about when I thought there wouldn't be good Mexican food in Central California.

After we ate, we were super energized and ready to go to ULTA. We all got a couple of things, but what I'm most excited about is the Mally's stuff Maggie was showing us the other day. Literally, I can't wait to try it out tomorrow and see! It was a solid and successful day of girly makeup shopping. Since you know, we're all girls and all that.

Also, on the way home, we accidentally took the freeway going south instead of north hahaha. But we figured it out before we got tooooo far, and turned around.
I mean it's not a road trip unless you get a little lost right?!?!

GETTING SOME BUM BUMS

Yesterday, my roommates and I decided to do a workout video together LOL.
It's a little video Megan brought here called the Brazilian Butt Lift, and it's hilarious! Some of the moves are so funny and awkward to do, and the guy calls everyone's butts "bum bums" but pronounced like "boom booms" HAHAHAHA.

Anyways, we couldn't even make it through one whole workout because it was SO HOT in the apartment. And also, now this morning we're all incredibly sore. Too sore to stand and sit and walk. THAT VIDEO WORKS.

I think I'm also really sore because Megan and I were doing more handstands yesterday. And squats. And crab walks. And trying to play Leap Frog. But we figured out that Leap Frog doesn't work for the 2 of us, so scratch that off the list.

The Failed Prank

So this morning, we all woke up early to try and pull a prank. Only... it failed. HAHA.
It was supposed to be payback for throwing the nut or chocolate or whatever at us. I mean, all we did was try and give our neighbors some jellybeans. Isn't that nice of us?? Jellybeans?? YEAH. And they're delicious ones too. And then they sprayed us with water. (Hopefully it was water.)

SOOO we tried to do the tape on the door thing, except of course it failed because Dan was already up and could hear us putting the tape on. MAJOR FAIL. But just wait, because next time will be better. Muahahaha.

Moral of the story is: make sure nobody's awake yet when you try to put tape on their door.
Also, avoid party regret.

Hooray For Enchiladas

One of my roomies made some enchiladas tonight! And here I was scared that SLO wouldn't have any good Mexican food. But this was really good, especially since I've been craving enchiladas for a while now. Even though she swears that she made these the shortcut way and they're not as good as the long way, they were still delicious.
Plus she also made some orange rice, and everybody knows I LOVE RICE! Thank you for the enchiladas Maggie :) Between this and the yummy chicken alfredo that Amanda made yesterday, plus the sauce I'll make tomorrow, we're going to have tons of leftovers to eat haha.
