Monday Memories Ep. 05 | London Times Part 3

The very last part of our London adventures! I'm actually sad that this will be the last major London post. So many feels with this one.

So we went to Trafalgar Square where there was the huge blue cock/chicken statue. There were also a bunch of awesome Scottish lads singing in the square (there was a football match I think). Like it was our first glimpse into how into football everyone is there, which is awesome. We also went to watch a concert in the episcopal church there. And also there's Kirsten wearing her super cute new dress she got at Topshop lol.
We spent quite a bit of time in Camden eating and shopping. They had suuuuch good food stands and cheap clothing stalls where we learned the art of haggling.
Some of us girls at the Nottingham Carnival. Plus some random tall guy on the right. It was super hot that day and super crowded, but it was worth the super long trek to get there.
The view at Kew Gardens. Hannah pretty much could have lived in the big treehouse there FOREVER. Trees and nature for miles and miles and miles. YAY FOR NATURE!
HOT DUB TIME MACHINE. Probably one of the best things we did in London, like we still think about it to this day. Nothing beats dancing to music starting all the way from the 50's up to 2013. Seriously, they have to bring this thing to America!
Also, the street art in London was on point for sure.
And one of our last days in London, we all walked down South Bank and went on the London eye together. The view from the top was incredible. And it was only a 10 minute walk from our flat. And it was the perfect last adventure for us.
Last but not least, this has got to be one of my most favorite pictures from the entire summer. The girls (minus Johanna who took the picture!) when we stopped at some random little cafe on our way somewhere. I totally don't remember where it was. Also, sorry GG I have no idea where you were either.
And now the happy memories from London are finished! Obviously a ton of pictures didn't make the cut, but most of the important things got on here. The feels are still very real though.
I miss you guys! And I miss London.
Definitely will be going back there again someday SOON. Right guys? RIGHT.

Monday Memories Ep. 04 | London Times Part 2

A little more of our little London times. It's been a while since the last Monday Memories, but I was really busy moving and all of that. So, please forgive me. (GG, I'm looking at you!)

Nandos! Of course we had to go to Nandos. More than once. A couple times. Haha. After eating there, we finally understood how magical it really is there.
This was one of the first museums we went to. It was one of the very first excursions we took in London after St. Paul's Cathedral. Gabby says it was the orphanage museum, or maybe even the 1st orphanage in London. I do remember it was sad when we were walking around in there, learning about all the kids and seeing their clothes and school books, and things like that.
In Greenwich at the Prime Meridian! This was actually pretty cool to stand on and to visit. LOL nerdy I know. But Greenwich wasn't that far away from where we were staying. Plus I think some of Thor was filmed in Greenwich, so that was cool actually recognizing it in the movie.
Another little gem of our class (I think in front of St. Paul's, but I could be wrong.)
Andddd we went to Buckingham Palace. Unfortunately, the Queen did not come and say hi.
This was when we relaxed on the grass at Kensington Gardens. I remember that Kirsten and I really really really wanted ice cream that day. So we stopped at an ice cream stand in the park, but the worker was scooping the ice cream soooo slowly. By the time she finished, we lost the group. So we had to sprint through the park looking for them. But the park was HUGE hahaha. Luckily we did end up finding them again by the Peter Pan statue.
One of our many strolls down South Bank and the Thames back to our little flat. We were so lucky to live where we did because there were so many things down the road, plus it was right across from the tube and bus stations.
That's enough for now. Part 3 will be coming soon!

5 Seconds of Summer & One Direction Concert

SOOO MANY FEELS. The concert was amazing. Literally I've been waiting forever to see 5 Seconds of Summer, and Chelsea has been waiting forever to see One Direction (and 5SOS)!

We went early to hangout at the Picnic In The Park pre-show. I really wanted to see Christina Grimmie perform, and she was AMAZING of course. Also, I almost won tickets to watch 5SOS and 1D the next day from the 102.7 suite, but didn't :( I was sooo close too. Also, we got MAJOR MAJOR ALLERGIES from all the grass blowing in the air. That would have been so worth going through if we won the extra tickets. We also met this poor mom from Oregon who had noooo idea what her daughters were getting her into. I mean, her daughters thought Pasadena was next to Sacramento when they bought the tickets.... Uhhhhh you're just off by 5-6 hours. But nice try!

And then it was time for the show. IT WAS AMAZING. I am sooooo glad that we went to it. It was a really fun way to celebrate before I leave this Tuesday. But really though, could little girls scream a little less loudly and high pitched please???? I swear I almost blew an eardrum from the girl sitting behind us. Even though we were deaf and unable to breathe from all our allergies, it was a fun day and I was so sad when it was over. Well, more sad when 5SOS was finished with their set. I wish they could have just played for like 3 hours straight. Also, dudeeee One Direction even has fireworks at their shows now?! And not just like a few measly ones. They had fireworks during multiple songs, as well as a bunch at the end of the show. Just how rich are you guys now?! It was pretty cool, but we're not at Disneyland you know.

I'm Excited!

I get excited over the littlest things. Like seriously I will be excited over something that somebody else thinks is really dumb or insignificant and not worth being excited over. But whatever, their loss haha. There's a couple things that I've been exceedingly excited for these past few weeks.

Brian bringing me the Beyoncé CD
We literally couldn't find the physical copy of the Beyoncé CD anywhere when we tried to look. Those things sold out fast buddy. But that wasn't surprising, since Beyoncé is the QUEEN. We went to a couple of different stores too, but then Walmart said if you ordered a copy, you could pick it up in the store in a few weeks. Uh no thanks, especially since Brian was leaving for Asia and would look for it there for us. And he did it! He found it in Hong Kong.

Going to the 5 Seconds of Summer and One Direction show
(but I'm really only excited for 5SOS)
So this actually happened yesterday, but a post is coming soon!! Of course, Chelsea and I have absolutely NO SHAME about going to it and it was amazing. I'm still deaf in my right ear--let me tell you, 1D fan girls are deafening. Also,  due to all the grass at the preparty Picnic in the Park, I'm currently still drowning in allergies. So I basically sound like a sniffling 12 year veteran smoker.

Finally getting my new planner
It's finally shipped yesterday! I feel like I've been waiting forever for it (but really it's only been a few weeks), so it better live up to my expectations or I will be majorly disappointed. MAJORLY. DISAPPOINTED.

Moving Day
It feels like time went by so fast these past few weeks. I can't believe in just a few short days I'll be driving up to SLO and staying there. CRAZY.

Nighttime Is When Weird People Come Out To Play

Today I realized, Fashion Valley mall is full of weird people at night. I normally only go there during the day, but whenever I do go there at night, I always meet the WEIRDEST people.

So when I went in the afternoon with Brittany and Tyler, everything was totally fine. We walked around, went to different stores, got some lemonade, Brittany got an awesome hat. Everything was totally normal and it was a fun day. We didn't meet anyone weird or creepy. Daytime is A-okay.

Then I met up with Sharon for dinner. We tried beets for the first time in a salad! Andddd we discovered we just do not like beets. Like at all. And we kept trying to figure out what this other thing in the salad was...At first I thought it was peach. Then I thought it was mango. It actually turned out to be butternut squash when we asked the waiter (good guess Sharon!) who also had no idea what it was at first haha.

And we got Pinkberry after dinner. Seriously though, vanilla latte is the best. I never tried that flavor before, but it was delicious. Too bad the humidity in the air caused our cones and waffle cookies to get really soggy really fast. But then while we were walking, some weirdo guy came up and asked if he could have a bite of my frozen yogurt. Ummm what??? Obviously I'm not going to share my froyo with you, stranger. First of all, is that even a real question you ask someone??? And secondly, WHO ARE YOU???? I clearly did not give him any of my froyo, but I did tell him that he could go to Pinkberry and get free samples haha.

Moral of this story: Don't talk to strangers who ask you for your dessert. They're just creepy. Also, go to malls during the daytime.

Monday Memories Ep. 03 | London Times Part 1

It's Monday! I took a little walk down memory lane to last summer in Europe, when I did a study abroad program in London. It was probably the most amazing summer and most fun traveling experience of my life. I realize looking through all the pictures that I'm probably just going to have to do a million Monday Memories dedicated to that summer because it was full of amazing memories.
Side note: Gotta love those iPhone4 quality photos....LOL.

So the first thing we saw basically were these flags all over London commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Queen's coronation. It happened right before we got to London, so that was cool.
We got tea at Harrods! The first time I've ever had afternoon tea, but I've definitely had it loads more times since then because it was soo good and so fun.
Obligatory telephone booth of course. The phone both across the street from St. Paul's Cathedral.
Our first excursion in London to St. Paul's Cathedral. This was the view from the top of St. Paul's. We climbed all the way to the top of the dome (like over 1000 steps!!) And then we had to climb all the way down again... We were so tired.
The best hot dog ever from Borough Market in a French bread bun. There were tons of amazing food stalls there, but we kept going back for these hot dogs.
Conway Hall. Our home :)
I'm pretty sure this was in front of the Houses of Parliament. Like 85% sure.
Me and my buddy, Big Ben.
Probably the most Londoniest picture I took. Big Ben. The London Eye. The double decker bus. A cab painted like the British flag.

More London/Europe adventures to come next week since there was absolutely no way to fit the summer into one post. xx
