Once upon a time, we took a little trip to Florida... A month ago. I am so unbelievably behind on posting about the trip. But finally, here it is!
BIG NEWS: WE WENT TO DISNEY WORLD!!!!!
I was so so so so soooo happy to finally get to go to Disney World. I used to have an annual pass for Disneyland, but Disneyland could never ever compare to Disney World. Our first stop in Disney World was The Animal Kingdom. We walked through the entire park that day, and it was so lush and green and full of animals. Basically like a big giant zoo but with fun rides too!
One of the first things we saw when we walked into the park was the famous Tree of Life in the middle of the park. But it's so big that you can see it right when you walk in the gate. It was even bigger than I thought it would be, and it's seriously so amazing how real it looks. Why can't all trees be huge and awesome like that one??
Out of everything we did at the park that day, two things were my favorite-- Exploration Everest and Kilimanjaro Safaris. The first ride we did happened to be Exploration Everest, which turned out to be kind of like The Matahorn ride, except with a Sassy Yeti haha. I love the Matahorn at Disneyland, but Exploration Everest was even better because the Yeti has sass.
And of course, I love animals, especially giraffes and elephants. So I LOVED the Kilimanjaro Safari ride. We saw a range of animals like crocodiles, hippos, wildebeest, elephants, okapi, and so much more! We even got close to some of the animals, like the white rhinos who walked right up to our safari truck. I LOVED IT. There's no way you could get so close if you went to a regular zoo. But we also got really lucky that some of the animals did come so close to us, since the park lets all of the animals roam wherever they want. They just so happened to roam close to us that day.
And it was so cool.
You can't go to Florida without seeing crocs. |

Seriously looks like a scene straight out of Lion King. |
The elephant looks like the elephant emoji :) |
Grandma was not so interested in the rhinos haha. |
It was a really fun day and we got to see some of my favorite animals, plus some animals I've never seen in real life before. No complaints from me! Day 1 at Disney World was a smashing success.
